Every year, Community Volunteers hosts an array of traditional gatherings and new projects. Read below to see what we have planned for the upcoming year, and how you can join us!
We are holding our Annual Meeting of Members on
April 28, 2022
Utah First Credit Union Training Room
At each annual meeting of the members, directors shall be elected. The method and procedures of the election shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
Current members of the Community Volunteers (CV) may vote by mail ballot. Upon validation, mail ballots will be provided to current members submitting a written, email, or telephone request. Mail ballots must be received by the CV at least seven (7) calendar days in advance of the annual meeting. Upon requesting a mail ballot, a member shall relinquish his or her right to vote in-person at the annual meeting, regardless of when and/or if the mail ballot is received by the CV. All mail ballots received after the specified deadline will be considered null and void and will be destroyed.
Utah is famous for the greatest snow on earth, but with that comes frosty winters, and cold little feet. Each year we provide over 1,000 pairs of shoes to students at Title 1 schools in hopes of warming their feet and warming their souls.
In past years, we have hosted a shoe wrapping event, but to be cautious during this COVID-19 pandemic, the board of directors will take care of the wrapping and administering of shoes.
We hope to be able to meet with our fellow Community Volunteers soon!
The CV Summer BBQ is an opportunity for us to partner with other organizations on projects focused on school aged children. In the past, we have worked with Utah Foster Care, Bountiful Food Pantry, The Road Home, and other organizations to prepare children to return to school.
As a fun tradition, we accompany the service project with a picnic! You can always find us enjoying bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato salad, and a game of BINGO.
Stay up to date on our service opportunities and community events!
